Generator Supercenter, Inc. is hiring a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician in the Birmingham, AL area.

You will consult with the Service Manager, travel to customers' homes in a company vehicle, perform repairs and preventive maintenance on whole-home standby generators, and update the software system with service details. The role requires reading manuals and diagrams, strong customer communication, and the ability to work safely outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers' residences using company vehicle to perform repair and maintenance on whole home standby generators.
• Communicate arrival, work performed and issues resolved with customers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain generators; follow manuals and blueprints.
• Document services in the electronic system and adhere to safety practices.
