Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Service Technician to plan work with the Service Manager and travel to customers’ residences to repair and maintain whole home standby generators.

You will read technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and blueprints, using our company vehicle to reach job sites. Expected Mon-Fri 8 AM–5 PM; pay commensurate with experience and safety-first practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certification a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Problem-solving, organization and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.
• Physically able to perform duties including bending, climbing, and walking on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily service/maintenance calls for Generac generators.
• Drive company vehicle to/from customer residences.
• Communicate arrival and work status with customers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Test and operate automatic transfer switches.
• Document services using electronic software.
• Adhere to safety practices.
• Complete paperwork documenting maintenance work.
• Diagnostics and repairs on backup power systems.
