Job summary

MIRACORP is seeking an experienced Staffing Specialist to provide comprehensive federal staffing and recruitment support to Civilian Human Resources staff. You will craft vacancy announcements, perform job analyses, and develop assessment criteria to ensure compliant postings on USAJOBS and other boards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with SMEs on specialized experience, preparing best-qualified synopses, and processing selection certificates while maintaining strong relationships with HR

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years of federal staffing and recruitment experience.
  • Experience drafting vacancy announcements, KSAs, and assessment criteria.
  • Ability to use USA Staffing/USA Hire to support recruitment and assessment.

  • Conduct job analyses to define position requirements and assessment criteria.
  • Develop recruitment actions, KSAs, assessment questionnaires, and screen-out elements.
  • Review applicant qualifications against federal standards and prepare best-qualified synopses.
  • Coordinate with SMEs for specialized experience requirements and duty statements.
  • Process selection certificates and notify staff when ready.
  • Answer staff questions on federal staffing policies and guidance.

The Staffing Specialist will assist with the full range of staffing activities, including vacancy announcement development, job analysis, qualification review, recruitment actions, applicant assessment, selection certificates, and staffing related research.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDraft new vacancy announcements and recommend modifications or edits to existing announcements and related information within the automated staffing system. Ensure approved vacancy announcements are accurately posted to USAJOBS and, when appropriate, other authorized job boards or recruitment sites.Conduct comprehensive job analyses to identify position requirements and ensure vacancy announcements and assessment criteria provide Government personnel with sufficient information to evaluate applicants' ability to meet position requirements.Draft recruitment actions and develop appropriate duty statements and assessment criteria. This includes applying qualification standards and developing or recommending knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs), assessment questionnaires, selective factors, weighting criteria, and screen-out elements.Review applicant qualifications against established federal qualification standards and vacancy requirements. Conduct qualification analyses and prepare clear, accurate synopses of best-qualified applicants for review by Government HR personnel.Coordinate with HR specialists and subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct job analyses and identify and define appropriate specialized experience requirements for positions.Print and process selection certificates from the automated staffing system after approval by an authorized Government HR specialist. Notify appropriate personnel when certificates are available and action is required.Research applicable federal Government, policies, procedures, and guidance to assist in responding to general staffing-related questions from employees and applicants.Utilize USA Staffing and USA Hire at an expert level to support recruitment, assessment, applicant evaluation, certification, and other staffing activities.Review staffing documentation and recruitment actions for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable federal staffing requirements, policies, procedures, and established Government processes.Maintain effective working relationships with Government HR specialists, hiring officials, SMEs, and others to facilitate timely and accurate completion of staffing actions.Minimum Education & Experience RequirementsUS CitizenBachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field.Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience performing federal staffing and recruitment support services comparable in scope and complexity to the responsibilities described above.Demonstrated experience supporting federal civilian recruitment and staffing activities, including vacancy announcements, job analyses, applicant qualification reviews, assessment development, and selection certificates.Demonstrated experience working with federal HR specialists, hiring managers, and subject matter experts throughout the recruitment and staffing process.Why Choose MIRACORP?At MIRACORP, we recognize that our employees are the cornerstone of our success.
