Job summary

Complete Care is seeking a Staffing Scheduler to manage the day shift master schedules, ensure adequate resident coverage, and monitor attendance for accurate payroll processing.

The role partners with HR on leaves and staffing changes while collaborating with nursing leadership to optimize staffing across departments. A CNA license and scheduling experience are required for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active CNA license is required.
• Scheduling experience and LTC background preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain master staff schedules across shifts and departments.
• Address call-outs and vacancies by adjusting schedules and coordinating with staff or agencies.
• Record attendance, call-outs, and overtime for payroll reporting and leadership metrics.
• Collaborate with HR on leaves, status changes, and resignations while supporting recruitment/retention.
• Communicate with department heads and DON/ADON to address staffing needs and policy compliance.

Role Overview

We are seeking an organized, high-energy Staffing Scheduler for our day shift team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee master schedule creation, manage daily coverage, track attendance, and partner with leadership to keep unit staffing optimized for high-quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule Master Management: Create, update, and maintain staff schedules across all shifts and departments to ensure compliance and adequate resident coverage.

• Shift Shortage Coverage: Address immediate call-outs, tardiness, and vacancy gaps by adjusting schedules, contacting internal staff, or coordinating with approved agencies.

• Attendance & Payroll Tracking: Record attendance, call-outs, and overtime data to generate metrics reports for leadership and support accurate payroll processing.

• HR & Recruitment Alignment: Work closely with HR regarding leaves (FMLA/non-FMLA), status changes, and resignations while supporting recruitment and retention strategies.

• Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate regularly with the DON, ADON, Administrator, and department heads to address ongoing staffing needs and comply with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Certification: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.

• Experience: Previous scheduling experience and Long-Term Care (LTC) background strongly preferred.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Core Competencies: Exceptional organization, strong problem-solving abilities, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
