Job description

The Staffing Recruiter is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting applicants to fill temporary, temp to hire and direct hire positions in administrative, professional and industrial environments for client companies. Manages worksite employees as client contact requests regarding hiring, terminating, coaching and counseling. Assumes additional staffing duties in the absence of other Recruiters when directed as needed.

  • Discusses personnel needs with client companies to assist in preparing and implementing necessary recruiting tools.
  • Accepts job orders from client companies, gathering pertinent data including start date and time, length of assignment, skills required, specific software knowledge required, essential functions of job, report to supervisor and work hours.
  • Responsible for managing client accounts through outreach and visits to build rapport with clients to expand services and retain business.
  • Determines appropriate pay rates and market trends for jobs and presents information to clients to educate on the local labor market.
  • Selects applicants to fill job assignments based on required skills, experience, training, acceptable pay, availability, skills tests results and work ethic.
  • Provides all pertinent information to job applicants regarding Staffing assignment, including company facilities, pay rate, job duties, name of supervisor, and hours of work.
  • Organizes appropriate electronic workflows to maintain contact with employees and clients.
  • Participates in off-site job fairs and community events to recruit and build community outreach efforts.
  • Suggests process updates and works with department members to implement and evaluate changes on an on-going basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Staffing, recruiting, or high-volume hiring experience preferred (agency, RPO, in-house, or workforce services). Candidates with hands-on experience managing multiple requisitions, fast turnaround timelines, and high applicant flow will be strongly considered.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with competing priorities and shifting demands.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with at least one year of experience in a client-facing or candidate-facing role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, clients, and internal partners via phone, email, and in person.
  • High level of organization, follow-through, and accountability; comfortable using ATS, CRM, and other technology for recruiting.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required to support client visits, job site check-ins, and local recruiting activities.
