Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners in Martinez, CA is seeking a Staffing Department Manager to lead day-to-day operations on a contract, onsite basis. The role centers on staffing oversight, budget control, and HR support for a large functional area.

You will supervise scheduling, coordinate assignments and sick calls, mentor project teams, and identify opportunities for improvement while ensuring compliance and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience directing budget planning and staff administration.
• Supports management with problem resolution and project implementation.
• Ensures quality and cost-effectiveness of operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee utilization of personnel, materials, space, and equipment while maintaining customer service.
• Recommend and implement internal policies and procedures.
• Manage budgets for capital, payroll, and other expenses.
• Perform financial and staffing analyses and coordinate budgeting reports.
• Advise management on variances and solutions.
• Supervise multiple ancillary functions including secretarial support, systems development, communications, and training.
• Provide human resources support to the functional area, including hiring, salary determination, and performance evaluation processes.
• Direct participation in diversity employment programs and report statistics.
