Job summary

Mason Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to oversee nursing staff scheduling and assist with screening applicants for nursing services roles, including CNAs, QMAs, LPNs and RNs. The role collaborates with DON/ADON to ensure adequate coverage in line with facility policy and state regulations.

The position includes new hire orientation responsibilities and daily staffing management. Competitive benefits and wage scale are offered. Indiana-based facility.”

Qualifications

• Have a valid RN, LPN or CNA license in the State of employment.
• Thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and ADP and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the DON/ADON in recruitment, interviewing and selection of nursing staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing to meet resident needs and cover scheduling gaps.
• Lead new hire orientation tasks such as Drug Tests and annual TB tests and other requirements.
• Coordinate CNAs and QMAs assignments; prepare per-pay-period staffing schedules and notify staff of changes.
• Maintain safety, infection control and a clean work environment per facility policy.

Responsibilities

This responsibility of the Staffing Coordinator will oversee staff scheduling and assist with screening job applicants for nursing services positions including: nursing aides, CNAs, QMAs, LPNs and Registered Nurses.

• Collaborating with the DON or ADON in the recruitment, interviewing and selection of nursing services personnel.
• Ensuring that adequate staff is available to meet the needs of the residents per facility policy and State Regulations. This includes assisting with the replacement of absent personnel and working to cover scheduling gaps;
• Performing new hire orientation functions such as a Drug Test, Annual PPD and other requirements; &
• Coordinating assignments for CNAs and QMAs and daily staffing assignment sheets as directed. This also includes creating the per pay period staffing schedules and ensuring that employees are apprised of scheduling changes.
• Complying with safety requirements, infection control measures, and maintaining a clean work environment in accordance with facility policy.

• A working knowledge on the use of personal computers, e-mail accounts and other computer software programs such as Word, Excel and ADP; as well as minor office machines such as faxes and copiers.
