The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining nursing staff schedules to ensure the facility is appropriately staffed based on resident needs, staffing requirements, and facility guidelines.
Develop and maintain daily and master schedules for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing assistants
Ensure appropriate staffing levels across nursing units
Monitor staffing changes, call-outs, and open shifts and communicate updates to management
Review daily staffing needs and assist with filling open positions and shifts
Verify timekeeping records and report discrepancies to the appropriate department
Coordinate with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, HR, and department leadership regarding staffing and employee status
Prepare schedules for DON review and approval prior to posting
Maintain accurate staffing and scheduling records
High school diploma or GED required; college-level coursework preferred
Previous staffing or scheduling experience preferred
Healthcare or skilled nursing experience preferred
CNA certification preferred
Knowledge of staffing requirements, scheduling, and orientation processes
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
