The RN Supervisor works closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee nursing services and daily operations during the assigned shift. This position provides leadership and support to nursing staff while ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.
Oversee nursing services and resident care during the assigned shift
Supervise and support nursing and nursing assistant staff
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies
Make nursing and aide assignments based on resident and staffing needs
Monitor resident care and nursing documentation
Ensure medications, medical supplies, and equipment are adequately available
Assist with resident assessments and care planning
Address staff, resident, and family concerns appropriately
Promote staff education, teamwork, and professional development
Communicate important clinical and staffing updates to the Director of Nursing
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current, active Florida RN license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, restorative, or geriatric care
Minimum 1 year of nursing supervisory or management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
Current CPR certification
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills
Must meet all applicable state licensing and certification requirements
This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
