Job summary

SiFive is seeking a Staff Design Verification Engineer to drive verification of high‑performance CPU core functionality, with primary focus on ALU and integer‑execution microarchitecture. This is a Staff individual‑contributor role within the CPU Design Verification organization, focused on high‑performance out‑of‑order CPU core development.

You will work closely with architecture, RTL, performance, and verification teams to ensure design intent is captured correctly, difficult corner cases are

Qualifications

• 7+ years of ASIC/CPU verification experience with ownership of complex problems.
• Strong SystemVerilog-based verification and modern DV methodologies.
• Experience in CPU/core verification and understanding of computer architecture.
• Proficient in Python, C/C++, or similar scripting languages for DV.

Responsibilities

• Own verification planning and execution for ALU- and execution-focused CPU core functionality.
• Drive verification strategy, test planning, debug, coverage analysis, and closure.
• Verify corner-case interactions between ALU execution and core logic.
• Develop robust DV environments, checkers, scoreboards, assertions, and coverage models.
• Collaborate with architecture and design teams to review specs and improve verification.
• Mentor engineers and contribute reusable DV infrastructure.
