Job summary

Base is seeking a Staff Technical Recruiter in Austin, TX to build out software and embedded engineering teams. You will own end-to-end recruiting, partnering with engineering leaders to shape interview loops and move fast without compromising quality.

You’ll source passive engineers in hardware-adjacent markets, evaluate firmware and embedded systems skills, and maintain a strong candidate experience while managing a high-volume pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting in hardware-adjacent environments.
• Proven ability to source, engage, and close engineers.
• Strong technical acumen with capacity to discuss firmware and embedded systems.
• Data-driven approach to evaluating pipeline health and outcomes.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
• Ability to move quickly while maintaining candidate experience.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting: end-to-end hiring for software and embedded engineering roles from sourcing to offer close.
• Source and engage talent: build pipelines of strong engineers in competitive markets.
• Go deep on the technical bar: screen for firmware, embedded systems, and backend capabilities.
• Partner with hiring managers: scope roles, define interview loops, and set excellence standards.
• Champion candidate experience: keep candidates informed at every stage.
• Run on data: track metrics and optimize the recruiting process.
• Move at Base pace: manage a high volume of open roles with sound decisions.
