Technical Recruiter – Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing

Location: Southeast Austin, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Environment: Onsite, Monday–Friday

Industry: Aerospace, Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing

About the Opportunity

The HT Group is partnering with a rapidly expanding, technology-driven manufacturing organization in the Greater Austin area to find an experienced Technical Recruiter to support its continued growth.

Our client operates at the intersection of advanced engineering, aerospace technology, and high-tech manufacturing, developing complex products and systems that support ambitious, large-scale technology initiatives.

This is a highly impactful opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, building relationships with technical leaders, and identifying specialized talent that can be difficult to find through traditional recruiting methods.

The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment across engineering, manufacturing, and technical operations, with a strong emphasis on proactive sourcing, candidate engagement, and successful offer execution.

What You'll Do
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for specialized engineering, manufacturing, and technical operations positions.
  • Recruit across disciplines including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, automation, process engineering, quality, and technical production roles.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean searches, professional networks, and creative outreach techniques.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates with highly specialized technical backgrounds.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operational leadership to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate experience, technical alignment, career interests, and motivations for considering new opportunities.
  • Present compelling career opportunities to candidates, effectively communicating the organization's technical mission and long-term growth potential.
  • Manage candidates throughout the interview process, coordinating feedback and maintaining consistent engagement.
  • Navigate compensation discussions, competing offers, and candidate objections to support successful hiring outcomes.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and pipeline activity within the applicant tracking system.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, sourcing effectiveness, and overall hiring efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally supporting engineering, manufacturing, technical operations, or other specialized professional functions.
  • Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and closing.
  • Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean sourcing techniques.
  • Strong experience identifying and engaging passive candidates in competitive recruiting environments.
  • Ability to partner closely with hiring managers and translate complex technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies.
  • Strong relationship-building and candidate engagement skills.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and multiple requisitions while maintaining a high level of responsiveness.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach with a strong sense of urgency.
Preferred Experience
  • Recruiting experience within aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, industrial technology, or engineering-intensive organizations.
  • Experience hiring mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, automation, process, or quality engineers.
  • Exposure to recruiting engineering technicians, skilled technical professionals, and manufacturing operations talent.
  • Experience working in either agency recruiting or internal corporate talent acquisition.
  • Familiarity with the Austin and Central Texas technical talent markets.
  • Experience recruiting for organizations experiencing significant growth, expansion, or rapidly evolving hiring needs.
What Makes Someone Successful Here

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the hunt for exceptional technical talent.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, persistent, and comfortable working on difficult searches where qualified candidates may not be actively looking for a new position.

You’ll need to be confident engaging highly technical professionals, uncovering what motivates them, and effectively communicating the value of an opportunity in a competitive market.

Equally important is the ability to build credibility with hiring managers, manage complex recruiting processes, and maintain a strong sense of urgency without sacrificing candidate experience.

Why This Opportunity?

This role offers the opportunity to support the growth of a highly innovative organization working on sophisticated engineering and manufacturing technologies.

You’ll recruit for positions directly connected to the development, production, and advancement of complex technical products while partnering with teams that value creativity, problem-solving, and execution.
