Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer in Linthicum, MD. The role focuses on structural analysis for airborne, shipboard, and ground-based systems, including FEM development, loads, and fatigue analysis.

You will mentor teammates and coordinate with IPT leads to meet schedules. Requirements include a Bachelor's with 12+ years of experience (or advanced degrees with more), US citizenship, and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in STEM fields.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain secret clearance.
• 10 years of experience in classical structural and FEM analysis.
• 8+ years of experience presenting to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis on aerospace, shipboard, ground based, and space radar systems and structures.
• Loads development, stress analysis (static and fatigue), and vibration analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Classical structural analysis and FEM, with clear communication of results through reports and presentations.
• Mentor less experienced personnel, plan tasks, and support program milestones.
