Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade software powering clinician-facing experiences. You will architect and build distributed systems, set technical direction, and raise the engineering bar through mentorship and collaboration.

You will lead initiatives across teams, work with modern tech stacks, and drive improvements that optimize performance and scalability in production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering with problem solving, data structures, and concurrency.
• Experience as a polyglot software engineer across multiple languages and stacks.
• 6+ months experience with AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Experience shipping and operating large-scale, distributed systems in production.
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with modern front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JS) and full-stack patterns.
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; willing to travel quarterly.
• 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
