UpGuard is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to steer technical direction across Product Engineering. You’ll stay hands-on while guiding the platform’s future, collaborating with leadership and squads to shape the product and architecture across the org.

You’ll work with React/TypeScript on the front end and Go with Postgres on the backend, deployed to Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform, driving scalable solutions from day one.

Qualifications

• Typically 8+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech-centric, product-driven companies.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills with a backend language (Go).
• Solid relational DB skills (PostgreSQL).
• Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Stay hands-on and ship features grounded in code and customer needs.
• Set cross-team technical direction and own architecture decisions spanning squads.
• Lead scaling and data problems as the platform grows toward 100 billion risk signals/day.
• Raise engineering standards across the org through reviews and mentoring.
• Help shape the roadmap with engineering and product leadership.
