Job summary

UpGuard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own a feature area within our Product Engineering team. You’ll drive technical design, shape how your squad builds, and mentor engineers toward production-ready solutions for customers depending on our cyber risk platform.

Our stack is React and TypeScript on the frontend, Go services with Postgres on Kubernetes, deployed via Google Cloud Platform. You’ll work with agentic coding tools and influence what we automate next.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in tech-centric, product-driven companies.
• Strong TypeScript and React.
• A backend language you’re productive in (Go).
• Solid relational database skills (Postgres).
• Experience with AI coding tools as part of the workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own a feature area end to end from design conversations through production and follow-up.
• Lead technical design and drive architecture within the area.
• Collaborate with product and design to shape what we build and prioritize.
• Mentor engineers and improve squad code quality and decisions.
• Improve reliability, scalability and performance of owned systems.
• Apply cybersecurity domain knowledge to product decisions.
