Job summary

UpGuard is recruiting for a Staff-level Product Security Engineer who will define security standards, tooling, and practices across our cloud-native products and infrastructure. You will own threat modelling, vulnerability management, and the build-out of AI-driven security tooling, working closely with product engineering and platform teams.

This is a fully remote role with strong executive backing and opportunities to shape security at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering and/or software engineering/or security operations, with cloud environment focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modelling and security reviews across product portfolio and cloud infrastructure.
• Build automation, policy-as-code, and AI-driven security tooling that embeds security across the SDLC.
• Design and implement secure-by-default configurations for cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Own vulnerability management end-to-end, triaging and prioritizing by real risk with engineering teams.
• Build scalable detection and response systems and run incidents end-to-end.
• Partner with product engineering and platform teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
