UpGuard is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own a feature area within our Product Engineering team. You will lead design, mentor engineers, and ship features for customers who rely on cyber risk insights. Our stack includes React/TypeScript on the front end, Go services with Postgres, and Kubernetes on GCP.

You'll work in one of 11 squads, shape how your squad builds, and influence what we ship from day one. We value autonomy and aim to empower engineers to contribute at scale.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of engineering experience at product-driven tech companies.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Backend experience in Go with solid PostgreSQL skills.
• Experience with AI coding tools and reviewing what they produce.
• Proven track record leading technical design for a feature area.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving code quality.

Responsabilités

• Own a feature area end to end from design to production.
• Lead technical design and drive architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with product and design to scope what's built and prioritisation.
• Mentor engineers and raise the squad's code quality.
• Improve reliability, scalability and performance of owned systems.
• Deepen cybersecurity domain understanding and apply it to solutions.
