Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Staff R&D Project Manager for its Palm Beach Gardens, FL team. Based in Orthopaedics’ Power Tools, you will plan and drive complex electro-mechanical projects in a regulated medical device environment.

You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, firmware, V&V, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and operations workstreams, manage budgets, and execute phased development with strong design controls and phase-gate readiness to enable timely product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project management in regulated Class II medical device development.
• Experience with hardware development through EVT, DVT, PVT and design transfer.

Responsibilities

• Own project planning, baseline management, WBS, and IMS aligned to hardware lead times.
• Manage schedule execution, critical path tracking, and weekly status updates.
• Coordinate electro-mechanical build, DDP, and V&V activities across multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain budget baseline, track actuals/forecasts, and support EVM tracking.
