Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the DePuy Synthes Orthopaedics team. The role can be based in Raynham, MA or Palm Beach Gardens, FL, with travel up to 10% and focus on medical device software development across multiple orthopedics domains.

The role requires leading software architecture, development in C/C++ and Python, and ensuring compliance with regulatory design controls in FDA-regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline with 8+ years experience (MS 6+, PhD 4+).
• Strong C/C++ and Python development.
• Experience with embedded microcontroller systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Software Technical Lead for capital equipment programs.
• Lead embedded software architecture, design, and verification for safety-critical medical device apps.
• Develop production software in C/C++ and Python with hands-on technical leadership.
• Drive all phases of the software development lifecycle and verification.
