Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, R&D, to lead software development for advanced orthopaedic devices. Based in Raynham, MA or Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will drive architecture, design and verification across cross-functional teams, delivering safe, compliant software throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Strong software development experience in C and C++.
Experience developing software for embedded microcontroller systems and Linux-based environments.
Experience delivering software in regulated design control environments.

Responsibilities

Serve as Software Technical Lead for capital equipment and power tool development; define architecture and deliverables.
Lead embedded software architecture, design, development, integration and verification for safety-critical medical device apps.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across systems, electrical, mechanical, cybersecurity, quality and regulatory engineering.
Develop production software in C/C++ and Python; provide hands-on technical leadership.
Translate requirements into scalable software architecture and detailed designs.
