Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Palm Beach Gardens, FL seeks a Staff R&D Project Manager for Power Tools to plan, execute, and lead cross-functional efforts in a regulated medical device environment. You will own the integrated plan, budget, and V&V activities across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and quality teams.

The role requires 5+ years in managed hardware development, phase-gate execution, and global launches, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• PM experience in regulated Class II product development environments.
• Experience with design controls and phase-gate processes.
• Experience coordinating suppliers and external development partners.
• Familiarity with international medical device regulatory requirements.
• Strong project controls and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Own project planning and baseline management with WBS and IMS.
• Manage schedule execution, critical path, and weekly status reports.
• Drive electro-mechanical build/test cadence and V&V activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and systems.
• Maintain budget baseline and perform EVM tracking; support governance reviews.
• Lead weekly core team meetings and ensure action follow-through.
• Ensure design controls, regulatory submissions, and quality evidence.
• Plan product launches for international markets and phase-gate readiness.
• Drive resource planning and resolve cross-site constraints.
• Close projects with lessons learned and transition to lifecycle management.
