Calendly is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to advance our self‑service infrastructure platform and drive engineering maturity. You will own API‑driven cloud tooling, guide solution design across teams, and evangelize best practices for cloud native development on Kubernetes.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and delivering scalable systems. You will work with internal customers, design high‑availability production systems, and contribute to the Infra roadmap under the Head of

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development.
• 4+ years of experience leading technical projects.
• Comfortable, and practiced, working directly with internal customers to understand needs/requirements and collaborate on solutions.
• Strong Go (Golang) development experience; especially writing APIs to build, orchestrate and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge of patterns and principles for designing and implementing cloud native applications on Kubernetes, such as Controllers and Operators.
• Deep experience designing, building, and running highly‑available production applications.
• An understanding of the Linux operating system, and systems engineering fundamentals.
• Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (especially GCP), distributed systems, and reliability practices.
• Working knowledge of software and infrastructure tuning and observability (especially Datadog).
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
