Job summary

Arm is seeking Staff Engineers to own technical deliveries for Platform Services. You will lead, design, and implement APIs and scalable workloads, while contributing hands-on development and on-call incident response. The role emphasizes security, observability, and efficient engineering workflows.

You will collaborate with multiple teams across Arm and drive major initiatives, including automation and self-service capabilities, with a hybrid working model combining remote and office time.

Qualifications

• Experience running production workloads in AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Strong software engineering experience with Go or Python.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and operating APIs/backend services.
• Practical knowledge of Terraform and IaC.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD and CI/CD.
• Ability to lead technical projects and communicate decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and operate APIs and platform services.
• Build Kubernetes operators and automation for self-service workflows.
• Deploy and operate reliable, secure, scalable workloads.
• Use Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate with engineering platforms and tools like GitLab, Backstage, Artifactory.
• Apply best practices: automated testing, code review, observability, secure development.
• Lead major engineering initiatives across Arm.
