Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to define the technical strategy and roadmap for the Platform Engineering team. You will architect, design, build, and document scalable solutions for engineering and product teams.

You will lead cross-functional projects, mentor junior engineers, and stay current with industry trends. The role requires strong CI/CD, cloud, container, and IaC skills in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of related industry experience.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD engineering practices.
• Experience with on-premise and AWS Cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with container orchestration (Docker/Podman/Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and code management (Harness, GitLab, Artifactory).
• Proficiency in IaC development (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or Shell.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the platform engineering technical strategy.
• Own cross-functional technical projects from inception to implementation.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Develop data platform infrastructure strategies to solve large problems.
• Lead architecture, design, prototyping and execution for platform needs.
• Collaborate with peers and product teams to align roadmaps.
