Job summary

Calendly is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to advance our infrastructure platform and empower product teams to operate Calendly services independently. You will join the Infrastructure leadership to drive the roadmap, shaping a self‑service platform and scalable cloud architectures.

The role emphasizes hands‑on Go development, Kubernetes‑native patterns, and collaboration with internal customers to deliver high‑quality cloud solutions. Remote‑friendly with US geography-aware pay ranges.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or software development.
4+ years of experience leading technical projects.
Strong Go (Golang) development experience for APIs.
Expert knowledge of Kubernetes patterns and Controllers/Operators.
Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP) and reliability practices.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Designing and building tools and applications to extend Calendly’s infrastructure platform.
Evaluating and guiding the development of applications across the organization.
Exercising deep expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and patterns.
Offering and evangelizing patterns for application teams to consume for cloud native applications development.
Fostering a collaborative environment of learning and knowledge dissemination.
