Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, part of Piedmont Healthcare, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team to deliver safe and effective medication therapy.

You will contribute to dosing, dispensing, and clinical review for diverse patient populations, spanning infants to geriatrics, working with clinicians to optimize outcomes and ensure high-quality care.

Competenze

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy is required.
• No experience required; Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist authorized by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy Upon Hire required.

Mansioni

• Performs distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Reviews, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for diverse patient groups (infants to geriatrics).
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and participates in professional development and patient-focused clinical activities.

Required Hours: 10hr shifts with Wednesday through Tuesday rotation. Hours are 9pm-7:30am and 10pm-8:30am

Responsibilities:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
