Job summary

Piedmont-Atlanta Hospital is hiring a Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. The role covers distribution, compounding, and patient-focused clinical activities to ensure optimal medication therapy across infants to geriatric patients.

The successful candidate will have an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree, Georgia licensure upon hire, and may be new to hospital settings or have prior hospital experience. Evening shifts from 2:30pm to 11pm are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Licensed pharmacist in Georgia upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Distributes, documents and compounds drugs, solutions and equipment.
• Reviews and monitors medication therapy across age groups.

Required Hours: 2:30pm-11pm,5 shifts per week, 8 hrs each. One weekend every 4th weekend (includes Sat and Sun) Two holidays per year on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy Required
