Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team in Georgia. The role involves distribution, compounding, dispensing, and monitoring of medications across diverse patient populations to ensure optimal therapy.

The candidate will participate in clinical activities and supervise pharmacy technicians, maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient safety. A Georgia pharmacist license is required, with ACPE-accredited education background.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• No experience required; hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff.
• Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients including dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
• Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice.
• Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Required Hours:

2:30pm-11pm, 5 shifts per week, 8 hrs each. One weekend every 4th weekend (includes Sat and Sun) Two holidays per year on a rotating basis.
