Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to perform distribution, compounding, and medication therapy management for patients across infant to geriatric ages.

The role includes supervising pharmacy technicians, ensuring order accuracy, and delivering patient-centered care to optimize therapeutic outcomes within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• PHARMD licensed pharmacist in Georgia; licensure upon hire required.

Overview

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
