Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, part of Piedmont Healthcare, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital-based team. The role focuses on distribution, compounding and monitoring of medications for patients across all ages, with supervision of pharmacy technicians and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• No experience required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Distributes, documents and compounds drugs, solutions and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy for infants, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics, including dosing variations and nutritional needs.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring orders filled by auxiliaries and ensures competency.
• Provides patient-focused clinical activities throughout the hospital to optimize medication therapy.

Required Hours:

2:30pm-11pm, 5 shifts per week, 8 hrs each. One weekend every 4th weekend (includes Sat and Sun) Two holidays per year on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
