Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team in Georgia. The role involves dispensing, reviewing and monitoring medication therapy across all ages, with supervision of pharmacy technicians and a focus on patient-centered care.

Graduate of ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy is required; Georgia licensure (PHARMD) upon hire is necessary. Hospital experience is preferred, and no minimum experience is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• No experience required; hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Distributes, documents and compounds drugs, solutions and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy for infants to geriatrics, including dosing variations and disease states.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring orders filled by auxiliaries.
• Maintains competency and pursues self-development in professional pharmacy practice.
• Performs patient-focused clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide optimal medication therapy.

Responsibilities:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
