Avispa Technology in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Staff Operational Support Engineer L2 to manage 24/7 live video streaming operations, incident response, and production changes. You will own escalated issues, work with IaC practices, and drive automation and observability across live delivery platforms.

The role requires strong experience with streaming technologies, distributed systems, and on-call incident management, with daily on-site work for a leading media tech environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in operational, support, or customer-facing roles.
• Experience supporting production video streaming platforms, OTT services, and live systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of HLS, DASH, CMAF, WebRTC, DRM, and CDN architectures.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (Grafana, Kibana/ELK, Prometheus, Loki).
• Ability to correlate backend metrics to diagnose live customer issues end-to-end.
• Comfort with controlled production changes and on-call operations.

Responsibilities

• Own escalated customer issues from Level 1 through resolution for live streams and related services.
• Apply IaC with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes manifests; use GitOps for safe changes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve incident response with automation, AI-assisted triage, and runbooks.
• Support pre-event readiness and respond to critical alerts within SLAs.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews with RCAs, runbooks, and knowledge base improvements.
