Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to build, test, deploy and support our self-service platform for pharmacy operations and customer order fulfillment. You will lead front end architecture, collaborate with product and design, and drive scalable, safe, and reliable experiences.

As a pivotal technical voice in Fulfillment and Pharmacy Engineering, you’ll mentor engineers, shape coding standards, and push for AI-enhanced development while maintaining patient safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with frontend leadership
• Experience building scalable web apps and services in cloud environments
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (React, React Native, NextJs, TypeScript) and backend tech (Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis)
• Experience with monitoring and CI/CD tools (Datadog, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Hands-on use of AI tools in engineering workflows with good judgment

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of scalable frontend solutions aligned with product requirements
• Drive adoption of common frameworks, patterns, and practices
• Establish coding standards and best practices across the Front End team
• Shape responsible AI adoption to boost output while ensuring safety and quality
• Mentor Front End engineers and document technical decisions
• Reduce technical debt and improve workflow efficiency
• Implement monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization tools
• Define a multi-quarter frontend architecture roadmap for Pharmacy & Fulfillment
• Collaborate with designers for intuitive user experiences
• Conduct design and code reviews and share knowledge
• Stay current with industry trends and propose innovations
