Job summary

Empower Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own end-to-end full stack features across frontend, backend, and data layers in a highly regulated 503A/503B environment. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging while ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.

The role spans frontend and backend work using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, and GraphQL, with strong emphasis on performance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of full stack development experience across frontend, backend, and databases.
• Experience in agile development, CI/CD, and maintaining high code quality and reliability.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency and debugging.
• Proven ability to design scalable, regulated, secure distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end full stack features across frontend and backend systems.
• Write clean, testable code using modern frameworks with AI-assisted tooling.
• Develop and maintain APIs, services, and integrations with external systems.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application layers.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
