Johnson Controls in the United States seeks a Staff Engineer – Chiller SME to lead multi-functional teams across manufacturing, design, quality, and supply chain to improve air-cooled screw chillers used in data centers.

You will guide technical decisions, resolve complex design issues, participate in DFMEA/SFMEA reviews, coordinate field testing, and support warranty actions while traveling up to 15%. This role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 8–10 years of HVAC experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading execution teams and coordinating resources.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to report progress to senior management and manage multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cross-functional teams across regions to improve HVAC products for data center applications.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve complex design and application issues.
• Communicate with Product Technical Support, Field Technicians and customers at a technical level.
• Participate in DFMEA/SFMEA, design reviews and reliability test planning.
• Coordinate warranty analyses and corrective actions with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Work with engineering to test methods reducing human intervention in service and maintenance.
• Collaborate with chiller product teams on Retrofit offerings and cost-performance balance.
