Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Senior Mechanical Product Engineer to lead the next generation of high-performance data center chillers. You will drive concept-to-launch, oversee design, testing, performance analysis, and project execution in a global engineering setting.

You will collaborate with manufacturing teams and stakeholders worldwide, acting as the technical voice of the design team and driving improvements through engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical related field required.
• 5 years experience with CAD software, product design, prototype testing and design documentation.
• Experience in design and product development is required.

Responsibilities

• Understand theories and principles of mechanical and electrical aspects of chillers.
• Conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.
• Collaborate with design and drafting to generate layout concepts and system configurations.
• Prepare and compile engineering/design documentation and technical documents.
• Execute test plans to verify performance and reliability of components and systems.
• Apply regulatory codes in product design (UL, CE, PED, ASME).
