Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences while hands‑on guiding design of dashboards and microservices.

You'll mentor teams, drive DevOps, and embed AI features into products to automate workflows and deliver intelligent insights across the payer operations landscape.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on full‑stack development, system architecture, and scalable applications.
• Expertise in modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries, and experience designing scalable microservices.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI models and APIs into software products and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Full Stack Development: Lead end‑to‑end design of scalable web applications from frontend to backend.
• Dashboarding & Data Visualization: Build interactive dashboards surface complex data insights.
• Backend & Data Integrations: Design secure APIs and integration layers with diverse data sources.
• AI Enablement & Implementation: Integrate AI/ML into core products to automate workflows.
• DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure: Drive CI/CD, container deployments, and IaC for reliability.
• Operational Excellence: Monitoring, logging, and performance profiling across the stack.
• Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Guide frontend/backend/DevOps engineers and shape technical roadmap.
• Self Starter: Handle ambiguity and align with stakeholders to deliver solutions.
