Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences, building dashboards, microservices, and integrations.

You will guide strategy, mentor teams, and drive DevOps excellence while embedding AI features to automate workflows and deliver insights across Payer operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with a focus on full‑stack development.
• Experience with modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Strong backend API design and scalable microservices.
• Experience integrating AI models and AI workflows into products.
• Public cloud expertise and IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end design, architecture and development of scalable web apps.
• Architect dashboards and data visualization interfaces.
• Design APIs and data integration layers with third‑party systems.
• Integrate AI features and ML capabilities into products.
• Drive CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC.
• Mentor engineers and align with product roadmap.
• Translate vague requirements into concrete technical plans.
