Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, delivering interactive dashboards and resilient microservices.

You will guide technical strategy across the stack, mentor teams, and champion DevOps and IaC while embedding AI features to automate workflows and deliver intelligent insights for payer operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full‑stack development, system architecture, and scalable applications.
• Proficiency with modern JS/TS frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, Highcharts).
• Deep experience designing scalable microservices, APIs, and data integrations with relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead end‑to‑end design and development of scalable web applications with rich frontends and robust backends.
• Build interactive dashboards and data visualizations surface complex insights.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and integration layers with diverse data objects and third‑party platforms.
• Lead AI integration into core products to automate workflows and provide intelligent insights.
• Drive DevOps and cloud infrastructure with CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC.
• Mentor engineers, establish coding standards, and shape the technical roadmap.
• Navigate ambiguity by engaging stakeholders and delivering concrete solutions.
