Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontends, delivering interactive dashboards and resilient microservices.

You will champion DevOps and embed AI into product features to automate workflows and derive intelligent insights. In this role you will guide strategy across the technology stack, mentor teams, and optimize Payer Operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with emphasis on full‑stack development and scalable applications.
• Strong frontend skills with modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep server‑side expertise and experience designing scalable microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data integration into applications.
• Hands‑on AI model integration and AI orchestration tooling.
• Cloud proficiency across AWS/Azure/GCP and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end architecture and development of scalable web applications.
• Design rich dashboards and UI components for complex data insights.
• Build secure APIs and data integration layers across systems.
• Champion AI features to automate workflows and provide intelligent insights.
• Drive DevOps practices: CI/CD, containers, IaC, monitoring, and reliability.
