CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications, bridging backend data systems, AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences.

You will design rich dashboards, build resilient microservices, and orchestrate integrations with diverse data objects and third-party systems. This role emphasizes DevOps, IaC, and AI-driven features to automate workflows while mentoring teams and guiding the technical roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack development, architecture, and scalable applications.
• Master modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries; experience with React/Angular/Vue and D3.js/Highcharts.
• Deep expertise in server-side languages and scalable microservices; event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data integration into application layers.
• Hands-on AI model integration (OpenAI/Anthropic) and orchestration (LangChain) with vector databases.
• Public cloud expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP); CI/CD, containerization, and Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable web applications.
• Architect dashboards and data visualization interfaces surfacing complex insights.
• Build secure, scalable APIs and data integration layers; connect to diverse data objects and third-party systems.
• Champion AI integration into core products to automate workflows and deliver insights.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ensure monitoring, logging, and performance profiling across the stack.
• Mentor frontend, backend, and DevOps engineers; align with product leadership on roadmaps.
• Navigate ambiguity and clarify requirements through stakeholder collaboration.
