Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, building interactive dashboards and resilient microservices while guiding DevOps and IaC practices.

As a technical leader, you will mentor teams, implement AI‑driven features, and optimize Payer operations with secure, scalable integrations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on full‑stack development and scalable applications.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks and data visualization approaches.
• Deep experience in relational and NoSQL databases and data integration.
• Hands‑on AI model and API integration experience (OpenAI/Anthropic).
• Cloud native DevOps with IaC and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end architecture, design, and development of scalable web applications including rich frontend dashboards and robust backend services.
• Architect and implement interactive dashboards and data visualizations surface complex insights.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and integration layers connecting diverse data objects and third‑party platforms.
• Champion AI/ML capabilities integration into core products to automate workflows and provide insights.
• Drive DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Set standards for monitoring, logging and performance profiling across the stack and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with product leadership to plan, groom backlog and shape the technical roadmap.
