Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems with AI capabilities, delivering interactive dashboards and resilient microservices.

This hands‑on technical leader will push DevOps culture and embed AI features into the product suite to automate workflows and generate insights. You will guide technical strategy, mentor teams, and ensure operational excellence across the stack, focusing on payer

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full‑stack development, system architecture and scalable apps.
• Mastery of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep expertise in server-side languages and scalable microservices.
• Experience with AI models/APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and AI orchestration.
• Public cloud expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD tooling.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to communicate architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web applications, from frontends to backend services.
• Architect and implement rich dashboards and intuitive user interfaces for complex data insights.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and data integration layers with diverse data sources.
• Champion AI features and automation across products to enhance workflows.
• Drive DevOps culture with CI/CD, containerization, and IaC for high availability.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and shape technical roadmap.
• Tackle ambiguous requirements by engaging stakeholders to deliver concrete solutions.
