Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications in Indianapolis. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, delivering rich dashboards and resilient microservices.

You will champion DevOps culture, integrate AI-driven features, mentor teams, and drive architectural decisions across the stack while focusing on Payer operations and data enrichment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering focusing on full‑stack architecture and scalable apps.
• Expertise in modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries (D3, Highcharts).
• Experience building microservices with Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or Go.
• Strong cloud/DevOps skills (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, containers, IaC.
• Hands-on AI model integration (OpenAI/Anthropic) and LangChain.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable web apps.
• Build dashboards and data visualizations to surface insights.
• Design secure APIs and data integration layers with data objects and third parties.
• Embed AI features to automate workflows and deliver insights.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and IaC; monitor and optimize stack.
• Mentor engineers; define standards and roadmaps.
