Job summary

Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare and is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to set technical direction for data integrations across hundreds of endpoints. You will shape architecture, drive scalable pipelines, and ensure secure, compliant data handling at enterprise scale.

You will own complex multi-system initiatives, collaborate with product and security teams, and mentor engineers to elevate the organization’s technical capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering, with Staff-equivalent scope and multi-quarter architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the platform and decide what to build.
• Own the architecture of data movement, orchestration, pipelines, and data stores; scale them.
• Anticipate scaling and reliability challenges and address them before incidents.
• Define observability and production readiness (monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, SLOs).
• Collaborate with platform/product teams to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance.
• Lead end-to-end cross-system initiatives from design to production rollout.
• Make pragmatic security, reliability, and performance tradeoffs for shipping speed.
• Mentor Senior/Staff engineers and raise technical bar through reviews and guidance.
• Spot systemic risks early and address root causes rather than patches.
