Job summary

Commure in the United States seeks a Staff Software Engineer to steer the Data Integrations platform. You’ll own architecture for data movement across EMR endpoints, durable orchestration on Temporal-like platforms, and scalable pipelines with strong delivery semantics.

You will mentor peers, partner with product and security teams, and balance security, reliability, and performance as you ship critical enterprise data flows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Architectural decisions on multi-quarter projects under constraints.
• Deep experience building distributed systems at scale.
• Strong data-layer and concurrency judgment; DB tuning and design.
• Production experience with GCP and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Fluency in a modern backend language (Python preferred).
• Ability to translate business goals into technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for the platform and decide what to build.
• Own architecture of data movement, orchestration, pipelines, stores.
• Plan for scaling and reliability to prevent incidents.
• Define observability, monitoring, logs, SLOs, and safe rollouts.
• Ensure data protection, security boundaries, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead end-to-end complex initiatives across systems.
• Balance security, correctness, reliability, and speed of shipping.
• Mentor and review architecture with Senior/Staff engineers.
• Identify systemic risks and address root causes.
