Job summary

Commure is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Integrations team. You will set technical direction for the platform and own the architecture that moves clinical and financial data across external endpoints at scale.

We value 10+ years of experience in distributed systems, with a track record of designing multi-quarter projects. Proficiency in Python (Go a plus) and GCP/Kubernetes is highly desired. Join a team that ships rapidly with strong security and compliance focus.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with staff-equivalent scope.
Deep experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
Strong data-layer and concurrency judgment; know when to optimize DB/Redis.
Production experience with GCP and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Knative).
Fluency in a modern backend language (Python preferred; Go a plus).
Ability to translate business goals into technical direction.

Responsibilities

Set the technical direction for the platform and architecture.
Own data movement systems, orchestration, pipelines, stores, and scale.
Forecast scaling and reliability walls and preempt them.
Define observability and operational readiness (monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, SLOs).
Ensure data security and compliance with regulations.
Lead end-to-end cross-system initiatives.
Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews.
Take ownership in a fast-moving environment and fix root causes.
