Cribl is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to serve as a technical leader on Cribl's Data Engineering team. You will set direction for analytics, data science, and operational decision-making across the company, operating at the intersection of the modern data stack, software and platform engineering, and AI/agentic workflows.

This is a high-leverage, hands-on leadership role. You will mentor and grow junior and mid-level data engineers, shape technical strategy, and raise the bar on platform

Qualificações

• Deep expertise in Snowflake with data modeling, performance tuning, cost management, and RBAC design.
• Proven technical leader with experience guiding architecture and delivering complex systems.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and ability to lead through influence.
• Track record mentoring engineers through coaching and code review.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with ELT and data modeling experience.
• Hands-on experience with self-hosted/self-managed orchestration (Prefect preferred; Airflow/Dagster acceptable).
• Hands-on AWS and infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or equivalents.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a technical lead for Cribl's Data Engineering team and own core data systems architecture.
• Drive reliable, production-grade outcomes and partner with data analysts, SREs, IT engineers, and business teams.
• Clarify requirements, validate outputs, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and timelines.
• Own and operate the self-hosted orchestration platform (Prefect; others acceptable).
• Own the operational hygiene, upgrade path, and cost footprint of the orchestration stack.
• Own Cribl's Snowflake environment and data modeling, RBAC, and governance.
