Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the Data Engineering team and shape the architecture of Cribl's data platform. You will work at the intersection of the modern data stack and our AI-driven analytics, mentoring engineers and delivering scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Deep Snowflake expertise with modeling, performance, and cost management.
• Proven technical leadership: tech lead or staff-level responsibilities.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with ELT and data modeling experience.
• Hands-on experience with self-hosted orchestration and AWS/IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and design decisions for core data systems and drive reliable, production-grade outcomes.
• Mentor and grow data engineers through code review and pairing.
• Operate our self-hosted Prefect deployment and its build/worker system.
• Own Snowflake environment, RBAC/permissions, and governance.
